About the maker:

I've always had the desire to create and make different items from different mediums. It is very gratifying for me to start with raw materials and produce a finished , durable, aesthetically pleasing product. Making knives fits my needs and desires well. There is a sense of pride when your name is put on a finished product that will last for years.

I make custom, one of a kind, knives. I add extras at virtually no charge because the knife looks and feels better in the hand, is stronger, and adds to the desirability of the product itself.

The blades of my knives are made from various high carbon steels. I have used 1080, 1084, 1095, 52100, L6 and AEB-L SS. Characteristics of these steels can be found here, but all make great knives if done properly.

Handles vary from US grown to exotic woods from all over the world. I also use man made products such as Corian and different acrylics.

Bolsters, pins, bolts, etc. in the process are copper, brass, steel, and bronze.

I make all my sheathes from veg-tanned no.1 grade US hides.

Knife#157 - This is a hunting knife that is light and easy to handle various cutting tasks. It has a full tang, satin finish. Made from 1095 steel, overall length is 8 5/8”. Blade is a little over 1 1/8” at the widest point and just under 3 /3/4” long. Finger grooves on top of spine and handle front. Ground thin to cut quickly and thoroughly. Handle is English walnut.
